Internet Explorer Short Cuts |
Command | Description |
Ctrl+F | quickly opens the Find dialog box, instead of clicking the Edit menu's Find option |
Alt+D | automatically moves your cursor to the Address bar and selects the current URL |
Ctrl+Enter | Simply type the core URL in the address bar, IE automatically adds the "http: //www." prefix and the ".com" suffix to the core URL to form the complete address |
Backspace | Paging back or quickly displays the preceding Web page |
Shift+Backspace | pages forward through the recently displayed Web pages |
Tab | advance to the next hyperlink on the current page then hit the Enter key to go there |
Shift+Tab | move to the preceding hyperlink on the current page then hit the Enter key to go to the page |
F4 | displays the URLs you've typed in the Address bar lately. This enabling you to move through the list and select the URL of a recently visited site with your arrow keys then hit the Enter key to go to the page |
Ctrl+D | to save the Web page you're currently viewing to your personal IE Favorites list, a great way to keep track of useful sites |
F11 | switches to Full Screen mode. In this view, the Windows taskbar and system tray on the bottom of your screen disappear. |
Ctrl+P | To print the current page or active frame |
Esc | stops the current page from downloading just as if you'd clicked IE's Stop icon |
Alt+Home | return to my defined Homepage |
Ctrl+W or ALT+F4 |
closes the current window |
Ctrl+A Ctrl+C Ctrl+V |
-selects the contents of the current page -copies the selected contents -pastes the selected contents |
